I am rather interested in Linux

There are several Linux newsgroups, including:
comp.os.linux.announce
comp.os.linux.help
The biggest UK source for all things Linux is the mirror on www.mirrorservice.org.
The current installation for Linux I use is CentOS, the free clone of RedHat Enterprise Linux, currently version 4.6. The mirror for the install of that is here.
